Escape SCILL interns (Chris Nye, Shaun Teacher, and Maja Zukić) have obtained scholarship grants from the California Institute
for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) to attend the International Society for Stem Cell Research 9th annual meeting in Toronto Canada.
The grant provides CIRM-supported Early Career Scientists with funding for registration fees and travel expenses to and from Toronto.
The
ISSCR website describes the meeting as "the preeminent international stem cell meeting of the foremost
stem cell professionals from public, private, academic and government settings. It provides a forum to promote and foster the
exchange of research, featuring leading discoveries of the year and serving as a catalyst for stem cell research around the world".
